This morning I find that Picasa (which it seems has been around for a while) has been bought out by Google and released as freeware.
Interesting to see what future versions bring; online image caching, anyone? In the mean time anyhow the program remains ungoogled, and is really quite good. I’ve even stopped using zoombrowser (the standard canon software) for camera imports, because the interface is just that much better.
