Isaac's Storm by Erik Larson

cover

I read this because his Devil in the White City was such an eye-opener of a book, both in it’s content and it’s wide-lensed narrative, and I was eager to check out his earlier work. Isaac’s Storm did not disappoint.

While shorter than Devil (and not packed as tightly, though out of subject and not the authors fault) it still remained an enjoyable read. I hope Larson makes a career out of shedding light on these seemingly hidden events in history.
