I was just trawling through my logs looking to see if a certain somebody (who will remain nameless) has been stealing my tiny sidebar images again, but instead I noticed that an old photo of mine was getting some heavy traffic from eBay. Turns out some guy or gal in India decided to sell their digital camera, and for who-knows-what reason they’ve used this unremarkable photo of a Tern from three years ago in the auction:

Not only that, the caption above it reads, “Picture taken by this camera“, and to top it all off, right-clicking returns a stern $10,000 copyright infringement warning.
Here’s a local cache.
I feel truly honoured.

The bird in the pic is not a tern. It could be a darter though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Darterfemale.jpg
BTW – are you sure you didn’t take the picture with the “world’s slimmest digital camera”?
Cheers,
Navin
The bird in question looks a lot like a darter, so perhaps my ornithology (yes, I looked that up) has betrayed me. In that case, I really ought to double check the other wild claim that you mention.
